I love hotpants. I love hotpants more anything. They are like crack. Or religion. I PRAY TO HOTPANTS. If I could, I would inject myself between the toes with hotpants. True story.
I probably have about 15 pairs of hotpants at the moment and the collection is growing. I have sailor hotpants. Hotpants with bows. Homemade hotpants. Denim hotpants. The list goes on. It’s only been in the last 6 months that I have established hotpant pride within myself. It’s one of those things where once you find it, you never go back and you wonder how you survived so long without hotpant pride.
Needless to say, when I was at a roller derby bout recently and Derriere Designs were there selling CUSTOM made hotpants, I was sold. These short shorts are designed for roller derby girls, so you know they will be made to withstand serious use (and I am a serious hotpant user).
With Derriere’s shorts, you’re able to pick the style, print, whether you want a ruffled butt or not, whether you want ‘assograms’ (letters of your choice on the butt), etc. I chose highwaisted, black with white polka dots and a ruffled butt. They cost me $35 (shorts $20 + $15 for ruffles). Custom made hotpants mean hotpants that fit perfectly. They are tailored FOR YOUR ASS.
I am so happy with my shorts. I wear them all the time. They’re comfy, sexy and make my ass and legs feel hot as fuck. And the fact that they’re made for derby girls mean they will not tear if you roll around all over the floor like so…
The only downside to the shorts and I’d be interested to hear if anyone else has this problem, but the front of the legs roll up a little for me, exposing the underside of the leg fabric. It’s fine, just a minor annoyance as I have to roll them back down a lot.
The hotpants have to come off at some stage….
