    Badass Women at Work in the 1940s

    Today I stumbled across some amazing photos taken by Alfred T. Palmer (a photographer for the US Office of War Information during World War 2) of women working jobs outside the expected ’traditional’ roles.

    When WW2 saw millions of men go to war, many women stepped forward to take on paid jobs that had previously been man territory jobs, such as mechanics, bank tellers and factory workers. Hence the Rosie the Riveter phenomenon.
